Finding a therapist who actually fits can feel like a project in itself. At our Vista office, our psychologists work with adults and teens on anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship struggles, identity questions, and more. Your therapist will get to know you and shape the work around what you actually need, not a pre-set protocol.

When communication has broken down or the same arguments keep coming back around, couples therapy gives you a place to slow down and look at what's happening underneath. Our psychologists use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and relational approaches to help partners reconnect, rebuild trust, and develop a more secure bond.

Our Vista office has a dedicated group therapy room built specifically for this kind of work. Group therapy offers something individual therapy can't: the chance to be seen, challenged, and supported by people who aren't paid to care about you. We run several groups for adults, teens, and specialized populations. Contact us to learn about what's currently running and what's forming.

When you're stuck and need answers, testing can cut through the confusion. Our Vista office has a dedicated assessment suite where we conduct evaluations for ADHD, autism spectrum, learning disabilities, and personality. Each evaluation includes a clinical interview, standardized measures, a written report, and a feedback session where we walk through the results together.
Whether you're seeking therapy or psychological testing in Vista, our care coordinator will help you find the right fit and guide you through the process.
Good therapy starts with a space that feels safe. Our Vista office is private, comfortable, and set up with therapy in mind. It sits on a quiet, tree-lined stretch of Thibodo Road in south Vista, right off the 78 at the Mar Vista exit. Freeway access is easy from Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido, and Encinitas. Parking is free and there's plenty of it.
At over 3,200 square feet, this is our largest location. It has six private therapy offices, a dedicated group therapy room, a psychological testing suite, a spacious waiting room, and a private exit. If you need comprehensive testing services, this is where that work happens.
The Vista office opened in September 2024. We'd been growing out of our Encinitas and Carlsbad suites for a while, and after a long search, we found the right space in south Vista.
It became the hub of the practice almost immediately. The extra room let us launch our group therapy program, build a proper testing suite, and bring the team together for the kind of shared learning and consultation that our model depends on.
Every clinician at Coastal Therapy Group holds a doctorate in psychology. That training includes thousands of hours of supervised clinical work, formal education in psychological assessment and diagnosis, and deep grounding in how to adapt treatment to the person sitting across from them. Many of our psychologists also hold additional specializations in areas like EMDR, EFT, and comprehensive psychological testing.
Choosing a psychologist in Vista also means access to the broadest range of services we offer. Our Vista office is the only location where we provide group therapy and full psychological testing alongside individual and couples work. And because it's centrally located in North County, clients from Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido, Carlsbad, and Encinitas often find it's quicker to reach than they expected.
If you're not sure where to start, that's okay. Call us or fill out our contact form, and our care coordinator will help match you with a psychologist who fits your needs.
