Therapists in Carlsbad and Encinitas

We are psychologists who work to help people feel better and live well.

Fostering a healthy, attuned, and strong therapeutic relationship is central to our work here at Coastal Therapy Group. This approach helps our patients freely share, explore themselves, and take risks both inside of therapy and in their lives.

Our Services

01. individual therapy

We work with people of all ages on a wide variety of subjects, and have specialties that include anxiety, depression, relationships, issues with sexuality and identity, and issues with religion and spirituality. Book sessions in Carlsbad, Encinitas, or online.

02. couples therapy

Whether the therapy is to resolve conflict, heal wounds from the past, establish healthy boundaries, or simply strengthen the relationship, no matter the issue, we are here to help. Regaining relational intimacy is accomplished through honest and connected experiences.

03. group therapy

Are you interested in working toward your goals with a group of other people invested in their growth? Groups have a wonderful way of recreating emotional and relational experiences you have outside of the group, while giving you the support you need to choose new ways to respond. We are now currently recruiting any members for new therapy groups.

04. psychological testing

Our hope is to provide clarity and resources to support your overall well-being. Whether it is to improve your mental health, clarify what you need to perform your best, or help you reduce barriers to learning at school, psychological testing can help you or your loved one.

I help adolescents and adults feel more connected to themselves and the world around them. Life is complex and painful. It’s a sign of health to take your experience seriously, and seek to examine it in a safe setting such as therapy. I aim to provide a warm, judgment-free, and empathetic space where we can both be curious and make sense of the complexities of your life. I hope we can create a collaborative therapy relationship and identify the things you would like to change in your life, so you can feel yourself again. I would love to talk with you and learn more about what brings you to therapy.

Welcome, to the parts of you curious about therapy, and the parts of you still unsure. Whatever brings you here, know that you don’t need to go it alone. I work with adults of all ages to develop a compassionate understanding of their experiences and to restore a sense of vitality, connection, and meaning in their lives. With your goals and values as our compass, we will explore the changes and challenges you are currently facing, and discover how your own internal resources can support you. My style is warm and inclusive, and I would welcome the opportunity to hear your story, and walk alongside you on this path.

Whether you are suffering from chronic emotional pain or looking for ways to increase your ability to thrive, I commend you for taking the first steps towards therapy. In my approach to therapy, I believe that symptom reduction is a necessary part of the process but is not the key to lasting change. The lifelong change that therapy can offer comes from developing a deep sense of self-understanding, confronting your natural human limitations, and discovering that you are more powerful than you ever imagined.
