I work with teens and adults in Encinitas, Vista, & Carlsbad who feel weighed down by challenges they can’t always put into words. My role is to understand what’s driving those struggles—whether it’s pressure to perform, relationship tension, uncertainty about the future, or a deeper search for meaning—and help you find clarity, resilience, and a path forward.
There are times in life when the next step feels unclear, directionless, or overwhelming with questions – it is in moments like these that I have a particular passion for working with existential concerns. In times like these, therapy becomes more than problem-solving; it’s a space to explore who you are, what matters most, and how to live in a way that feels authentic and grounded. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, struggling with loss, or feeling disconnected from yourself and what matters most, I help clients reflect, reorient, and move forward with greater self-understanding and compassion.
My clinical experience includes work in university counseling centers, community mental health, and private practice settings. I have provided therapy and psychological testing for adolescents and adults, with a focus on supporting teen boys in developing confidence, emotional awareness, and stronger relationships. My approach to therapy is informed by psychodynamic and attachment theories, which place an importance on understanding your interpersonal and formative relationships and can help you better understand how you relate to yourself and others.
It is with honor and gratitude that I hear about the lived experiences of each person I see. If you feel this would be a good fit for what you are looking for, or are curious to learn more, I invite you to reach out to schedule a consultation.
Counseling and Emotional Support for Clergy and Faith Leaders
Clergy, faith leaders, as well as other helping professionals, often carry unique emotional, relational, and spiritual burdens—while feeling the expectation to remain strong for others. Over time, the constant demands of ministry and the weight of caring for a community can lead to stress, burnout, or feelings of isolation. It can be difficult to name these struggles, and they are not something you need to manage alone.
I provide a confidential and compassionate space where clergy can reflect on their own needs, process challenges, and reconnect with their personal sense of calling. Our work may involve exploring boundaries, navigating difficult relationships within the congregation, tending to spiritual questions, and addressing the toll that ministry can take on emotional health. My goal is to help faith leaders not only recover their sense of balance and resilience, but also deepen their connection to the values and purpose that first inspired their work.
