My goal is to provide a collaborative and supportive therapy environment where you feel you can vulnerably explore and share your internal world. My hope is to support you in finding meaning in emotions, relationships, and life experiences with the ultimate goal of helping you build the life and future you envision.
Being a human in this world can often mean navigating deep emotional pain and feelings of disconnection, overwhelm, and uncertainty. While this can often feel lonely and insurmountable, you are not alone and I am here to help. You have found the right place.
As a trilingual psychologist (English, Español, & Français) in Carlsbad, I work with individuals, couples, children, teenagers, and families experiencing transitions, hardship, conflict, and trauma. I strongly value approaching mental health care from compassionate, culturally sensitive, and strength-based frameworks. I always strive to tailor interventions to your unique needs. I especially value working with individuals’ existing resources and strengths while also finding insightful and creative ways to make meaning, support healing, and foster connections with the self and others.
In reflecting about the work that I do, I often think about the dance that unfolds in the therapy space: the fear and pain that prevent movement and keep us stuck, the communication difficulties that make it so that we step on each other’s toes, the vision we have for our future and our loved ones that fuel our movements, and the non-linear motions that somehow still get us to the place we want to go. Whether it’s by yourself or with a loved one, let’s learn some new moves together… Let's dance!
Relationships are one of our most precious resources, let’s look towards strengthening them.
In a world that is increasingly isolating and unpredictable, relationships can be protective spaces that allow us to be vulnerable, seek and receive support, and help us thrive. Whether it is addressing relational injuries, differences of option, disagreements, or conflict, increasing our ability to connect and build resilient and supportive relationships becomes an important part of addressing our well-being. Whether it is the relationship with your parent, child, partner or spouse, sibling, best friend, or yourself let’s work together to turn away from disconnection and turn towards interactions of care.
