As relational beings, we are not designed to journey alone. I consider it a gift to be invited alongside others in their pain and struggles, helping them realign with their values and reconnect with themselves/their bodies. I work from an inclusive, compassionate style to cultivate a safe space where you can experience empowerment and healing.

   Naomi Wu, PsyD

Warm welcome. Seeking out therapy can feel daunting and initiating the process to commit to your holistic health is a beautiful and courageous step. Whatever may bring you here, I hope you may extend compassion and gentleness toward those parts that may be hurt, fearful, or guarded. Our view of ourselves, others, and the world are shaped by early relationships and various cultural factors. When these relationships and environments are not safe and secure, it can cause  internalized messages of being unworthy and unlovable, and lead to experiences of uncomfortable emotions and tension within us. As a relational and humanistic therapist, I deeply care about cultivating an empathetic, collaborative therapeutic relationship where your unique experiences and stories are validated, your internal wisdom is honored, and all your parts are welcomed and extended care.

Within life we are constantly faced with dualities and paradoxes – tranquility & fear, hope & suffering, awe & pain, aliveness & decay, flourishing & grief. I believe fullness and beauty come when we learn how to radically accept the complexities of our emotions, deepen our ability to be vulnerable, and relish in our humanness. Building language to express and process our emotions and integrating the mind and body allows us to return home to internal safety and regulation – the foundation of healing relationships with ourselves and others.

You are worthy of experiencing life’s vibrancy and abundance. I would be honored to be invited alongside your journey. If you feel we may be a good fit or are curious with questions, you may schedule a consultation to openly discuss what may best support you and your needs.

You are Welcomed Here in the Beautiful Messy Art of Becoming

Cultivating a sense of self is a constant, ebbing and flowing transformation. It can be isolating and disheartening when we straddle various cultures, trying to establish a sense of belonging, but never feel fully welcomed, understood, or loved. Working from a multicultural perspective, I’m attuned to how the intersectionality of our various cultural factors and social contexts shapes our identities and experiences. I enjoy working with young adults and women of color exploring various aspects of identity, navigating seasons of change and transition, and desiring to live more value-aligned lives. Identity exploration is a both/and process that includes thoughtfully reflecting on the past, and an unfolding of the present, an interplay of unfurling and grounding. I consider it a deep privilege to be a holder of your story and witness the journey of your becoming. Together we can curiously and gently expand space for various
aspects of yourself and your story that may have been minimized or silenced, to help foster more compassion, wholeness, and healing.
